Brief：The practice of major country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics should be further theorized by employing its own concept system and discourse system so as to form progressively the theoretical system of China’s major country diplomacy as well as to develop some approaches to the regional cooperation and regional governance applicable to the world. In this vein, the Belt and Road constitutes a new word provided by China to the handbooks and dictionaries in international relations. Since the initiative was launched,the Belt and Road becomes one of the most frequently used vocabulary among the scholars and in the media. This research suggests that one should pay much attention to the connectivity theory in academic studies and international communication.
