On Jul. 1st and 2nd, 2018, the opening ceremony the Center for China and Central Asia Studies(CCASC) established jointly by Fudan University and Kazakhstan International Science and Education Center( ISEC) was held in Astana. Chen Zhimin, vice President of Fudan university, and Ilsalyev, head of Kazakhstan international science and education center, presided the inauguration.  

This center is the first China research center established by Fudan University in the neighboring countries of the Belt and Road. It is also a joint effort of in-depth education cooperation between China and Kazakhstan. The center aims to serve the new economic policies of both "the Silk Road Economic Belt" and "Bright Road", providing intellectual support and talent guarantee for China-Kazakhstan cooperation in terms of research, training and exchange.
