BEIJING, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- The 6th China Luzhou Southwest Commodity Expo is about to kick off on Friday in Luzhou City, southwest China's Sichuan Province, presenting that Luzhou is taking a more open approach to the outside world.
During the expo, the opening ceremony of the expo at the main venue, the inauguration ceremony of the "One Belt and One Road National Pavilion" in the South Sichuan Port Area (SSPA) of China (Sichuan) Pilot Free Trade Zone, and the investment forum and business promotion conference will be held, in succession.
The pavilion, located in the SSPA of China (Sichuan) Pilot Free Trade Zone and covering an area of 20,000 square meters will be particularly eye-catching.
By far, 11 countries including Azerbaijan, Moldova, Australia, the Republic of Korea, Israel, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Kyrghyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan have been confirmed to settle in the pavilion. More than 5,000 kinds of commodities in over 10 categories are expected to be displayed.
The expo marks a new move of Luzhou's active participation in the Belt and Road construction as well as the Yangtze River Economic Belt Development.
According to the organizers, under the B&R Initiative, China and Azerbaijan boast broad prospects for cooperation in agriculture, manufacturing and international passage construction.
It is reported that the pavilion will be permanently opened to the public, enabling local citizens to purchase abundant overseas commodities near their homes.
