Cheng Dazhong, professor of School of Economics, Fudan University, delivered a speech on the value chain division on Avril 24th, 2018. Professor Cheng expressed four main ideas. First, he analyzed the significance of China’s upgrading in the global value chain. Second, he elaborated the evolution of the international trade system and its problems. The third idea lies in a careful examination of the industrial chain correlation between China and countries along the Belt and Road. The last point is about some suggestions related to the risks and security issues in the global value chain.
