The
Ninth Forum of the Chinese Media was held on September 10thin
Fuzhou, Fujian Province. Xu Yan, professor of School of Journalism, Fudan
University, delivered a speech on the current situation of the Chinese media.
According to Professor Xu, the Chinese media in countries along the Belt and
Road is still at the stage of initial adaptation with regard to the new wave of
mobile internet mainly because of the presence of large aged group of Chinese
diaspora. Therefore, as the Belt and Road Initiative advances progressively,
the information communication will be facilitated, thus bringing new
opportunities to the Chinese media.
