Gong Baihua, professor of Law School, Fudan University, delivered a speech on April 10th, 2017, on the negative list of Shanghai Free Trade Zone. He made 4 remarks on its future development. The first consists in the urgent coordination of the negative lists among all the four Free Trade Zones in China as well as among different related departments of the government. The second refers to the transparency of the negative list in terms of government management. A better transparency should be in compliance with the international practice. The third remark is associated to its stability. It is not appropriate to modify frequently the negative list. The last one concerns its legality. The future modification of the list should be abide by laws and regulations of the Chinese government.
