Professor Wan Guanghua, director of Fudan Institute of World Economics, delivered a speech on the economic prospect of China, inequality and the anti-globalization wave. Three main ideas were advanced in his speech. First, China has the potential to further revitalize its previous economic momentum by promoting its domestic demand, in spite of the fact that the increasing rate is subject to open discussion. The second, China should devote itself to reverse the wave of anti-globalization which is closely connected with the global income distribution. Therefore, The Belt and Road Initiative should also examine the income distribution in related countries and contribute to address this issue. Third, the domestic demand of China is largely dependent on the wealth inequality. Without addressing fully such a decisive problem, China’s domestic demand would not have a substantial increase. Therefore, priorities should be given to the urbanization including that of the megacities such as Shanghai.">
