The institute aims to promote population health, control major diseases and facilitate policy making in B&R countries. It focuses on addressing key health issues in China and B&R countries, identifying health system deficiencies, formulating strategic plans and policy advice, and enhance public health capacity through scientific research and collaboration in the areas of epidemiology, occupational health, environmental health, nutrition, social medicine, maternal and child health, as well as health policy.
